In Nigeria, a significant number of young children lack essential
skills, which adversely affects their educational and employment
prospects. Statistics reveal that over 100 million Nigerian youths lack
basic digital skills, which are crucial for modern job opportunities.
This pressing issue has inspired the launch of the Career Day
Initiative project by the Lola cater Foundation. The initiative aims to
transform Nigeria’s educational system by equipping young children
with essential digital skills from an early age, thereby enhancing
their future prospects and aligning with the demands of the modern
workforce.
We aim to start this project to address critical skill gaps among young children in Nigeria, significantly impacting their educational and employment prospects. Many children lack foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and digital competence, which are crucial for academic progress and job opportunities.
The project will offer early digital education and practical training, bridging these gaps and preparing children for the modern workforce. Additionally, by implementing an efficient automated school information system, we aim to streamline administrative tasks, allowing teachers to focus more on teaching. This system will enhance data management, improving educational outcomes and resource allocation.
This social enterprise will require a payment from parents and schools to successfully carry out the initiative.
